My Life in Words

Clap along if you know what happiness is to you - [Day 1]

Posted by Carla Boyd on Saturday, September 20, 2014 Under: 100 Happy Days
Recently, I've been doing a lot of thinking about my life and what I want for myself. My life isn't perfect. I'm not perfect. But the more time I spent thinking about things, the more I realised that I'm actually quite happy. I know what I want and I'm working towards my goals. I have a supportive family, amazing friends in different parts of the world, and my very own space in one of the most exciting cities in the world!

Still, while I know all this, sometimes I need a bit of reminding. That's why I decided to do the #100HappyDays Challenge! The idea is that every day, you post a picture of something that makes you happy. I will be doing this here because it also means I can explain a little about each picture. Plus, it means I'll have to blog every day for 100 days, which is good since I've been meaning to blog more!

Since there's no better time to start than now, today is officially Day 1! So what made me happy today? Well, I love a (fairly) lazy Saturday and I tend to use them to clean my flat. While putting things away today, I came across some old fake tattoos. Naturally, I decided to have some fun with them.

Some people might call me immature but I very much live by the Randall Hall quote "Maturity is knowing when to be immature". I can be childish and I stand proudly by that fact because it makes my life fun. Being immature leads to spontaneity, which tends to lead to fun and adventures. Today, I am happy that I never let my inner child die. :)
